The Seattle Sounders return home after a very rough two-game road trip that saw them concede seven goals while only scoring once. The Sounders probably felt hard done by the terrible referring in the game against the Chicago Fire but they have nobody to blame but themselves for Wednesday's collapse.
Hopefully, the Sounders will have Osvaldo Alonso back as he say out the game on Wednesday for rest and a quad strain. Clint Dempsey should be in the Starting XI after not playing due to being rested. They will hope to have a more stable backline this weekend.
They have been hit hard with injuries these first 11 games this season. I expected Brad Evans to get his first start of the season at right back after playing only 23 minutes the last two games as he has been working himself back from injury. Joevin Jones will be back from his one-game suspension after he picked up two yellow cards against Chicago in the dying moments of the game.
Seattle needs to do anything that they can to get on the board first. They have yet to take a lead into halftime this season and if they want to win their first game since they beat the LA Galaxy 3-0 on April 23, they will need to do just that. Real Salt Lake won their first game in since April 23 as well when they beat New York City on Wednesday.
The Sounders sit on 10 points out of 11 games. At this point last season, they had 13 points after 11 games. To avoid a repeat of last year's Summer swoon, they need all three points tomorrow afternoon.
